Cookie Policy
Last updated: 17 July 2026
1. What cookies are
Cookies (and similar technologies such as browser local storage) are small pieces of data stored on your device by a website. They can be “essential” (needed for the site to work) or “non-essential” (analytics, advertising, personalisation).
2. What we use
| Name / type | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
qapixel_cookie_consent (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again | Essential | Until cleared |
YouTube (via youtube-nocookie.com) | Plays the embedded demo video; may set cookies only when you press play | Non-essential | Set by Google |
3. No analytics or advertising
We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on qapixel.com. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
4. The embedded video
Our demo uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which avoids setting tracking cookies until you actually play the video. Once you press play, Google/YouTube may set cookies under Google's own policies. If you decline non-essential cookies, please avoid playing the embedded video, or watch it directly on YouTube instead.
5. Managing cookies
You can accept or decline non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You can also clear or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may affect how the site remembers your preferences.
6. The extension
The QAPixel Chrome extension itself does not use website cookies. It stores your settings (Figma token, pairings, licence key) in your browser's local extension storage — see our Privacy Policy.
